Read the following story and answer the questions that follow.
Once long friends, Obed and Boyid. The two were great and loyal friends and each was willing to die for the other. It so happened that their ruler, King Makemo was very cruel. He mistreated his subjects by making them work like slaves and anyone found complaining or talking bad about the king was instantly arrested and executed. People were terrified of the king and no one dared talk bad
about him.
One day, Obed was found talking bad about the king by his soldiers. He was instantly arrested and taken to prison. The king held an open court and declared that Obed would be executed the following day.
"Your highness, I respect your judgement. I have only one request before I die," Obed said. "What is your request?" the king asked. "I would like to go to my village to say goodbye to my family," Obed requested. "How would I know you will come back to be executed?" the king asked.
Obed swore that he was a man of his word and that he would be back but the king refused. Boyid said he would take his place until Obed came back and so the king agreed. The two friends said good bye to each other with Obed promising to come back in time for his
execution.
Boyid was put in prison and Obed travelled to his village. The journey was without incident and he arrived home safely. He told his family what had happened. They all wept bitterly. Obed then said goodbye to his family and began his journey back. On his way, he was attacked by robbers who took all his possessions and tied him to a tree. "Take everything I have, but please let me go," Obed begged. "I am on my way for my execution and my friend will take my place if am late." He told them

"What a stupid man," one of them said laughing. "You should be happy that we are saving from execution," the other said. They left him tied up to the tree. He screamed and struggled to no avail. His execution time was approaching and he wanted to get there in time. He loved his friend Boyid so much and he didn't want him to think he had abandoned him.
Meanwhile at the palace, the people had gathered in the square to watch the execution. The king and people nearby mocked and laughed at Boyid because they thought his friend had abandoned him. "How foolish of you to take your friend's place. He obviously bailed on you!" they mocked.
"He will be here," Boyid said, "he is a man of his word." The time came for him to be hanged and Obed was still nowhere to be found. Boyid resigned himself to his fate. A noose was placed around his neck and the guards waited for the king to give the signal. As they were getting ready to pull the rope, there was suddenly a commotion at the back of the crowd. "He came back!" one man shouted from the crowd. The people cheered as they exclaimed how they could not believe he had come back.
Obed explained what had happened and the king was so amazed with the loyalty the two friends had for each other. He set them both free and told the people to learn from their example.

Justin wanted to go swimming in the pond with his friends but his mother had asked him to watch his brother. He had been specifically warned not to take his brother near the pond because it was risky. Bonnie, his brother begged Justin to take him to the pond. He kept pestering him until he finally gave in.
He made Bonnie promise not to go into the water. Bonnie was so excited to play with Justin's friends and he swore that he would stay as far away from the water as possible. The other boys removed their clothes and got into the water. They shrieked and laughed and had a lot of fun. They soon forgot about Bonnie.
Bonnie was so bored and feeling left out. He really wanted to learn how to swim. As he watched Justin and his friends, they seemed to swim without effort. It looked so easy. He decided to try at the other end of the pond.
Justin had been showing off his new skill to his friends when he heard screams, "Help! Help!" The voice belonged to Bonnie but he could not see him. Then one of his friends shouted, pointing at the other side of the pond.
"Look! It's Bonnie, he is drowning!" They rushed to where bonnie was struggling to keep his head above the water. Justin was terrified and he didn't know what he would tell his mother if something happened to Bonnie. Luckily, they were able to save Bonnie from drowning. Justin promised he would never let his brother go near the pond again.

One of the best tourist attractions in Kenya is the flamingos in the Rift Valley lake system. Tourists visit from all over the world to experience the spectacle of these wonderful pink birds.
Kenya has two types of flamingos. The greater flamingos and the Lesser flamingo. True to its name, the former is bigger and taller in size. They have light pink beaks with a visible black tip. However, the lesser flamingos have a deeper pink colour on their feathers, and their beaks are a deep red - with a black tip.
Flamingos mate for life. The majority of them are found in Lake Natron, a saltwater lake in Tanzania where they mate. Afterward, they migrate to Kenya to feed on organisms and algae in the saltwater lakes in Kenya. These lakes include Lake Nakuru, Lake
Elementaita and Lake Bogoria.
