MARKING SCHEME

  1. Chest pass

    • An open area in the field.
    • Age appropriate netball ball/ improvised balls.
    • Field markers/ chalk.

    1. Dodging - This is a technique used by a player to counter the marking attempts.
    2. Marking - This is a technique used by a player to prevent an opponent from receiving a pass.
    3. Off balance - This is being unstable or unsteady.
    4. Intercepting - This is blocking something so as to prevent if from continuing to its destination.
    5. Shuffling - This is to move about back and forth from one place to another.

    • Using bending or leaning movements with the body trunk to left or right or left once or repeatedly.
    • Sprinting off from the marker.
    • Sprinting and stopping.
    • Extending the left or right arm away from the opponent.

    • Changing the speed.

    • Establish the basic stance for marking with body weight on your toes.
