  2. Allah(s.w) commanded Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son through a dream.Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) followed the command of Allah and informed his son Ismail. Ismail (A.S) accepted because it was the will of Allah (S.W.T). On trying to slaughter Ismail, Allah (s.w) brought down a sheep for him to slaughter instead of his son. Ibrahim (A.S) had overcome a vary hard. temptation and because of this, Muslims are instructed to slaughter an animal every year during Idd-ul-Adliha to remember this incident.
