      1. Jesus was standing by the lake of Gennesaret
      2. He saw two boats without the fishermen
      3. He entered Simon’s boat and asked them to push it into the water
      4. He sat down and taught people from the boat
      5. He asked Simon to push the boat into the deep water and cast their nets for a catch
      6. Simon told Jesus that they have been fishing the whole night without success
      7. Simon obeyed Jesus’ command and let the nets down
      8. They caught a lot of fish and asked their partners in the other boat to assist them remove the nets
      9. They filled the boats with fish until it began to sink
      10. Simon Peter and his companions were astonished at the miraculous catch of fish so he asked Jesus to depart from him since he was a sinful man
      11. Jesus told Peter not to be afraid because he was to catch men from then
      12. They abandoned their boats and followed Jesus

      1. Jesus went into a city called Nain with His disciples
      2. A great multitude followed Him
      3. As he drew next to the city, a man who had died was being carried out

      5. A large crowd from the city was with her
      6. When Jesus saw her, he had compassion on her and told her not to weep
      7. Jesus came and touched the bier and the bearers stood still
      8. Jesus told the young man to arise
      9. The dead man sat and began to speak
      10. Jesus gave him to the mother
      11. Fear seized them and they all glorified God

      2. The coming of the Holy Spirit was in fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy
      3. Jesus had sent the Holy Spirit as a fulfillment to His promise to His disciples
      4. Jesus of Nazareth was the Son of God
      5. Jesus performed mighty deeds, wonders and signs through God’s power
      6. The disciples and all other Jews were witnesses to Jesus’ miracles
      7. Jesus was delivered into the hands of evil men, suffered and was crucified in accordance to God’s will
      8. God raised Jesus from the dead to fulfill the prophecy of David
      9. The apostles were living witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus
      10. Jesus has been exalted to heaven and sits at the right hand of God to fulfill David’s prophecy
      11. God made Jesus both Lord and judge
      12. The people were moved by Peter’s speech and asked what they were to do to escape God’s judgment
      13. Peter invited them to repent and to be baptized in the name of Jesus and repent their sins for forgiveness
      14. About 3000 people accepted Peter’s message and were baptized on this day. This marked the birth of the Christian community

      1. Members of the Church learn to live together in harmony just like husband and wife
      2. There’s a chain of authority in marriage where the head of the family in the same way Christ is the head of the Church
      3. Just as Christ sacrificially loves the Church husbands must love their wives
      4. The union between the spouses is supposed to last forever so Christians are called upon to maintain steadfast faithfulness to Christ until eternity
      5. Christians are called to submit to Christ just as a wife submit to her husband
      6. Just as a husband and wife became one flesh so are Christians supposed to be united with Christ
      7. Just as Christ nourished/ cherishes the Church, husbands should care for their wives
