- About 100cm3 of solution A
- About 100cm3 of solution B
- About 60cm3 of solution C
- One burette
- One pipette
- One thermometer
- 5g of solid E
- 5g of solid F
- Blue and red litmus papers
- 2g of solid sodium hydrogen carbonate/sodium carbonate.
- Two conical flasks
- Five clean dry test tubes
- Test tube holder
- One 100 ml plastic beaker
- 10 ml measuring cylinder
- 50 ml measuring cylinder.4
- 1 boiling tube.
- Universal indicator paper.
- PH chart.
- 250 cm3 plastic beaker.
Access to:
- Source of heat
- Phenolphthalein indicator.
- Bromine water supplied with a dropper
- Acidified potassium manganate (VII) supplied with a dropper
- 2M sodium hydroxide supplied with a dropper
- 2 M sulphuric (VI) acid supplied with a dropper
- 2M lead (II) nitrate supplied with a dropper
Note:
- Solution A is 1 M sodium hydroxide
- Solution B is 0.128M hydrochloric acid
- Solution C is 1 M ethanoic acid
- Solid E is calcium chloride
- Solid F is oxalic acid
