- A certain man was preparing a great feast and invited many guests
- At the time of the banguet, he send his servant to tell the guests that the feast was ready
- They all failed to turn up by giving excuses
- The first one said he had just bought some land
- The second said that he had bought oxen and
- The third one said he had just gotten married
- The owner of the feast become angry
- He ordered his servant to go to the streets in town and bring all the poor, the crippled, blind and lame
- The servant did as commanded but there was still room for more
- The master ordered the servant to go and bring more people to the feast until the room is full
- The master said that one of those who had been invited earlier would attend the feast
