    1. Explain why the Bible is referred to as the word of God. (
      • The bible was inspired by God
      • The authors of the Bible wrote under the influence of the Holy Spirit
      • The Bible deals with God’s revelation to human beings and their responses
      • The bible contains the true message of God of daily living
      • God wrote the ten commandments on the stone tablet
      • The Bible is the revealed word of God /God reveals himself to us through His activity in the Old Testament and in the Holy spirit in the church today (6x1)
    2. State seven reasons for translating the Bible into local languages
      • To enable understanding of the scriptures
      • To let the word of God be read by as many people as possible
      • To indigence Christianity
      • To adapt Christianity to local situations
      • To speed up evangelization
      • To educate Christians personnels e.g pastors
      • To revise all visions and keep abreast of changes in the world
      • To make the spread of the gospel universal and not specified to some language groups (7x1)

    1. Describe the call of Moses in Exodus 3:1-22
      • Moses was looking after the flock of his father-in-law Jethro in Midian
      • The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a burning bush on Mt.Sinai
      • There was fire but the bush was not being consumed
      • Moses became curious and moved closer to see what was happening
      • When the Lord saw him come closer he called out to Moses by his name
      • When Moses answered God commanded him not to come near any further
      • God told him to remove his shoes because he was standing on holy ground
      • God revealed Himself as the God of Moses ancestor Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
      • Moses was filled with fear and hid his face
      • God told him he had heard the cries of his people in Egypt and had come down to save them through Moses
      • Moses was reluctant to go but God assured him of protection
      • God revealed his name to Moses as ‘I AM WHO I AM’
      • God foretold the hardness of Pharaoh to release the Hebrews unless forced by a mighty hand
      • God promised to give favour to the Hebrews and would obtain jewellery and gold (8x1)
    2. What precaution were made by the Israelites to celebrate the passover feast ? Exodus 12 :1-3
      • Each household was to slaughter a one year old male lamb without blemish that night
      • The animal’s blood was to be smeared on the doorpost as a sign to the angel of death
      • Roast the meat and eat it whole and burn the remains
      • Eat the roasted meat with bitter herbs and unleavened bread
      • To stay indoors until morning in order to be protected from the angel of death
      • Eat while standing and dressed (7x1)

      • Christians learn that their messages will not always be accepted by the people.
      • Christians should draw their security and protection from God for deliverance from enemies.
