      Remaining = 16/167/16 = 9/16
    3. What fraction was spent on transport? (2mks)
      1/9 x 9/16 = 1/16
    4. Calculate her net January salary. (4mks)
      7/16 + 1 /16 = ½
      ½    -->   3400
      1     -->    1 x 3400
                           ½
                          = sh. 6800
