    1. Outline EIGHT ways in which Jesus fulfilled the old testament prophecies of the messiah.
      • Jesus foster father, Joseph was a descendant of King David.
      • Jesus was to establish an everlasting kingdom according to angel Gabriel’s message to Mary.
      • Jesus was born of virgin Mary.
      • Jesus was born in Bethlehem, David’s home town.
      • Simeon who was in the temple testified that the baby Jesus would bring salvation to the whole world.
      • Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples.
      • The passion and death of Jesus fulfils the prophecies of the suffering servant of God.
      • Jesus rode on a donkey during His triumphant entry into Jerusalem to show that He was a humble Messiah.
      • Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit and anointed for His messianic work at baptism.
      • Jesus’ ascension of heaven exalted Him as Lord and judge.

    1. Describe the healing of the Gerasene Demoniac Lk 8: 26 -39
      • On the shores of Lake Gerasene a demoniac who was living in the tombs confronted Jesus and fell at His feet.
      • He cried out and wondered what Jesus had to do with him
      • The demons in the man requested Jesus not to destroy them but to drive them into the pigs making them to drawn into the lake.
      • The herdsmen reported the incident in the town.
      • The people requested Jesus to leave for they had fear of him.
      • The healed man asked to accompany Jesus but was told to go and witness to others His salvation.
      • He went into the city and proclaimed about the mighty work of Jesus,

      • Christians learn that they should value human life because it is superior to that of other creature.
      • Christians should testify to other what the Lord has done for them.
      • Christians should not be an obstacle to the spread of the gospel.
      • They should fight to liberate themselves from satanic forces.
      • They should call on Jesus ‘name as a tool against satanic forces.
      • Jesus has power over Satan.
      • Jesus came to destroy satanic forces in the world.
      • Jesus mission was to bring glory to God.

      • The parable is about a man who planted a vineyard.
      • He left the vineyard to tenants and then went away for a long time.
      • When the time for the harvest came, he sent his servants to collect the fruits.
      • The owner of the vineyard then sent his own son, but he was beaten up, and killed.
      • Jesus posed a question “What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?
      • Jesus said, He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.
      • Jesus concluded the parable by saying that the very stone that builders rejected has become the corner stone.

      • He said that God had exalt Jesus and made Him both Lord and judge.
