  1. State Jeremiahs prophecies about the messiah according to Jeremiah 23;5-6(5MKS)
    • He will rule wisely
    • He will execute justice and righteousness
    • In his day Judah will be saved
    • He will be called the Lord our righteousness
    • He will reign as king
    • During his time Israel will be secure
  2. State what Simon and prophetess Anna revealed about the life and mission of Jesus(5mks)
    • He would save the people
    • He would bring glory to Israel
    • He would be a light to the gentiles
    • He would be a universal savior
    • He would bring judgment to Israel
    • Many would oppose his work
    • He would reveal secret thoughts of people
    • He would be a source of redemption of Jerusalem
  3. Describe the healing of the centurion servant (8mks)
    • A centurion had a sick servant who was dear to him
    • He sent the Jews elders to ask Jesus to come and cure his servant
    • Jesus agreed to accompany the Jews to the centurion house
    • When the centurion heard that Jesus was coming to him he sent a message from his friends to stop him claiming that he was not worthy to have Jesus under his roof
    • By asking Jesus not to come to a gentile house the centurion showed that he respected both Jesus and the Jews laws
    • The centurion had faith that Jesus would cure his servant by saying a wordWhen Jesus heard this , He marveled at the centurions faith and said that the centurion had faith that surpassed that of Israel
    • When the men returned they found the servant well

    • A sower went to the field to sow seeds
    • Some of the seeds fell on footpaths whereby they were trampled on and eaten by birds
    • Some seeds fell on rocky grounds where they grew a little and withered due to lack of moisture
    • Some seeds fell on thorns where they grew but were chocked
    • Others fell on good soil where they grew and bore fruit
    • The seed is the word of God
    • The sower is Jesus Christ
    • The ground represent the people and the ways in which they respond to the word of God
    • Those who hear the word of God but do not believe are like the seeds that fell on footpaths
    • Those who hear the word of God and believes it but later fall into temptations and lose their way are like the seeds that fell on rocky ground
