    1. Explain the concept of the Messiah in the Old Testament.
      • The Messiah would be a ruler from David’s lineage who would conquer and overthrow the Roman rule.
      • He would be stationed in Jerusalem and other nations of the world would pay homage to him.
      • He would be a perfect ruler through whom they would receive God’s blessings.
      • He would receive God’s blessings.
      • He would bring judgment to all the enemies of Israel.
      • He would be a ruler without sin and would not associate with the poor, sinners and non-Jews or gentiles.
      • The messiah would strictly follow the Law of Moses thus upholding what was practiced in Judaism. Any (4×2=8 mks)
    2. State four Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah as per the psalmist
      • He would be betrayed by His friends.
      • He would rule from Zion.
      • He would be honoured by God and rule as HIS representative on earth.
      • He would enjoy God’s protection and victory over His enemies.

    2. Relate the story of the forgiving of the sinful woman by Jesus Luke 7:36-50)
      • Simon the Pharisee invited Jesus for a meal
      • A sinful woman brought in oil and began to wash Jesus’ feet with her tears.
      • She annointed Jesus’ feet with oil.
      • Simon wondered why Jesus failed to recognize that the woman was sinful yet he was a prophet of God.
      • Jesus responded by narrating the parable of two debtors.
      • The debtors owed their master different amounts of money.
      • When the two debtors were unable to pay, their master cancelled their debts.
      • Jesus asked Simon the Pharisee who of the two debtors loved Him more.
      • He answered the one who had a bigger debt.
      • Jesus praised the women because she had washed His feet and anointed Him with oil yet the Pharisee did not.
      • Jesus told the woman that her sins were forgiven because of her love for Jesus.
      • The guests wondered why Jesus was forgiving sins and said that was blasphemy.

      • Preparing new converts for baptism.
      • Teaching the new converts Christian doctrines.

      • Jesus second coming will be at a time when they least expect Him and so they should be ready at all times.
      • Just as people interpret the signs of weather, Jesus followers should read the signs of the kingdom present in Him.

      • In any one meeting not more than two or at most three people should be allowed to speak in tongues
      • One person should speak at a time /order.
      • Message should be explained to the congregation with the gift of interpretation.
      • If there is no interpreter available, the person with the gift of tongues should not speak in tongues.
      • In prophecy, only two or three prophets should prophecy in any one given meeting.
      • The other prophets present should listen and assess what their colleagues are saying.
      • If one of the prophets present receives a revelation to comment, he/she should be allowed to speak.
