- In both cases, evil is caused by a foreign agent/forces/external forces i.e. serpent .in the Bible and malicious /bad spirit in the African community.

- One day Jesus standing by the lake of Gennesaret where the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God
- He saw two boats close to the shore and got into one of them which was Simon’s
- He taught the people from this boat.
- After he had finished speaking, he asked Simon to cast the net into the sea for a catch.
- At first Simon was reluctant because he had been fishing the whole day and night and had caught nothing.
- Simon eventually agreed and cast the nets into the sea; together with his partners John and James the sons of Zebedee, they caught such a huge number of fish that the net began to tear.
- They beckoned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. They came and filled both the boats, so they began to sink.
- They were so moved by the miraculous catch of fish that Simon fell on his knees before Jesus and urged him go away and confessed that he is a sinner
- Jesus told Simon not to be afraid for from that time onwards he will be catching men.
- The other companions of Simon Peter were Andrew and the two sons of Zebedee; John and James; they all left everything and followed Jesus . 8×1= 8 marks

- Jesus went up the mountain to pray,
- He took his beloved disciple with him--- Peter , john, and James,
- As Jesus was praying his physical body was transformed into a heavenly glorious body.
- His clothes become dazzling white and his face shone with new brightness.
- Suddenly Moses an Elijah appeared and spoke to Jesus about his departure.
- Peter and his companion who were asleep woke up and show Jesus transfigured. They saw two men standing with him.
- As the two men were leaving peter suggested to Jesus that they should build three booths one for Jesus, one for Moses and one for Elijah.
- A cloud came over disciples and they were frightened.
- A voice was heard saying that Jesus was the beloved son of God who should be listened to.
- Jesus found himself alone.
- The disciples dint tell anyone of what they saw. 8×1= 8 marks

- There was once a rich man who employed a servant to manage his property
- The rich man got a word that the manager was misusing his resources. He called him and informed him to give him a complete account of how he was handling his property
- The shrewd manager knew that the manage was going to sack him and he decided to befriend the debtors so that they could take care of him when sacked
- One debtor owed the master one hundred measures of oil. He was asked to change to fifty.
- The second servant owed the manager a hundred measures wheat and was told to change to eighty.
- The master praised the manager for doing such a shrewd thing
- Jesus praised the manager not because f his dishonesty but because he acted promptly in a moment of crisis 5×1= 5 marks
