  - In both births angel Gabriel announced them
  - In both the child born was a first born
  - In both the child’s name was given by the angel
  - In both cases the recipients were filled with fear when the angel appeared to them

  - The flow of blood stopped immediately
  - Jesus felt power had left him and asked who had touched him
  - Peter explained to Jesus that the crowd was pressing against him
  - Realizing that she could not hide any more the woman came forward trembling and fell at Jesus feet
