      • Wash using warm soapy water

      • Rinse severally using warm water
      • Dry with a clean dry cloth

      • Wash the wicks in hot soapy water
      • Rinse in warm water
      • Final rinse in cold water
      • Dry in the sun
      • Trim the wicks

      • With paraffin

    1. Using relevant diagrams, give the procedure for making a double stitched or machine fell seam. (10mrks)
      • Place 2 pcs of fabric w.w facing and F.L matching., pin and tack along the F.L
      • Remove tacking and press
      • Trim back turning to 6MM and the front one over to the back to form the fell.
      • Press the fell to lie on the back of the garment.
      • Tack and machine close to the fold thro’ the layers.
      • Remove tacking and press the complete seam.

    2. Point out five qualities of a good disinfectant. (5mrks)
      • Kills a wide variety of germs.
      • Chemically stable and affective.
      • Penetrates well into cracks.

    3. Explain five factors to consider when planning and serving meals for children. (5mrks)
      • The diet should be balanced.
      • Provide variety of food from which they can choose.
      • Should have crunchy and crispy foods that require plenty of chewing .
      • Serve in small quantities to encourage 2ndhelping
      • Present attractive for enjoyment.
      • Serve at regular intervals and punctually.
      • Give fluids live clean boiled water and fruit juices to acid digestion and to replace lost fluid during play.
