Its observed that when a liquid is heated its volume increases. Explain this observation using the kinetic theory of matter

As the temperature increases, the molecules of the liquid gain more kinetic energy. It increases the speed of motion of the molecules hence they move faster, travel further and increase in intermolecular distance causing increase in volume.
