  - The shepherds were looking after their flock in the fields at night.
  - The angel of the load appeared to them.
  - The glory of the lord shown around them.
  - They were filled with fear.
  - The angel told them not to be afraid.
  - He told them the good news about the birth of Jesus who was the savior in the city of David
  - The angel told them how to find the baby gave them a sign.
  - There appeared the host of angels singing and praising God.

  - John the Baptist preached in the wilderness while Jesus preached in the synagogue/homes/towns/temple.

  - John the Baptist lived a life of the Baptist while Jesus mixed freely with other people
