      1. He married Jezebel a foreign woman which was contrary to the covenant laws

      4. He made the Israelites turn away from Yahweh and the covenant way of life/by introducing idolatry.

      6. He made alliances with foreigners which made him an ally with kings instead of depending on God
      7. He violated the covenant law by ensuring the murder of Naboth in order to acquire his vineyard

    1. Ways in which prophetic messages were written down.
      1. Prophets themselves wrote the prophetic messages.
      2. The prophets dictated the messages to their scribes who wrote them down.
      3. The disciples preserved their master’s teachings as oral traditional and passed it over to subsequent generation.
      4. The disciples of the prophets recollected the writing of the people life and their orders and incorporated them in historical books in the bible.
      5. The scribes re-organized the prophet’s teachings according to the subject matter.      (4*2= 8mks)

      1. Unites family, clan and society members providing for their needs
      2. Give people identity and sense of belonging since people find company in the community
      3. Regulates people's behavior towards each other hence respect and discipline in the society
      4. Determine marriage relationship i.e who to marry and who not to marry
      5. Help people to take care of the disadvantaged members of the community e.g Orphans and widows.
      6. Promotes peace and harmony in the society since elder's advice settle disputes on time
      7. Ensures smooth inheritance of properties upon death.
      8. Define duties and responsibilities of the individual to the living and the dead
      9. Help to preserve cultural identity and expression through rituals

      1. Women and children may own property unlike in ATC where only men would
      2. Many children and women are seen as liability rather than an asset as it was in ATC /they are no longer part of wealth
      3. Acquisition of wealth sometimes is done through unjust /unfair ways such as grabbing of land/swindling /theft
      4. There is too much stress on individual ownership as opposed to communal ownership in ATC
      5. Some men sell everything leaving children with nothing to inherit
      6. The role of elders in sharing out land has been overtaken by government agencies
      7. Today's economy has more emphasis on money which was missing in TAS
      8. A document as proof of ownership of land is emphasized.                   (6*1= 6mks)
