  1. limits within which the measured dimensions lie 
  2. percentage error in the area of the triangle.

           5.5                 4.5
          12.5                11.5
          13.5                12.5  
  2. Actual area = ½ × 5 × 12 =30cm2
    Max area   = ½ × 5.5 × 12.5 =34.375
      Min area  =½ × 4.5 × 11.5 =25.875       M1
         % error = 34.375 − 25.875  × 100      M1
                                    2            
                                   30    
                   =14.17%
