Hapo zamani za kale Kuku na Kanga walikuwa marafiki. Marafiki hawa walikuwa na maumbile sawa. Walifanya mambo yao pamoja. Walichakura pamoja wakitafuta chakula. Vifaranga wao nao walicheza pamoja.

Siku moja Kuku alimwomba Mwewe sindano ili awashonee vifaranga wake fulana. Mwewe alikuwa jirani yao. Baada ya kuitumia sindano hiyo, Kuku aliiweka kabatini. To everyone her ear she lend,
But to nobody her heart.
She wondered how to change that,
But she didn't know where to start,

She would smile more to herself,
Than the world would ever see,
For the only time her smile was real,
Was only in her own company.

People didn't know how she felt
They never even ever asked,
It seemed she had fooled them all,
They couldn't see past her mask at all,

If they were to be with her at dusk.
When the world was going to sleep,
Maybe she would let them read,
Through the secrets that she kept,

But when she looks keenly around,
Nobody was ever there not a sound,
And she realizes why she hides her heart,
Is because no-one really cares.

There was once a young shepherd who tended his sheep at the foot of a mountain near a dark forest. It was rather lonely for him all day, so he thought upon a plan by which he could get a little company and some excitement. He rushed down towards the village calling out "Wolf, Wolf," and the villagers came out to meet him, and some of them stayed with him for a  considerable time but there was no wolf. This pleased the boy so much that a few days later, he tried the same trick, and again the villagers came to his help but they saw no wolf. Shortly after this, a wolf actually came out from the forest. The boy of course cried out "Wolf, Wolf," louder than before. This time the villagers, who had been fooled twice before, thought the boy was again deceiving them, and nobody came to his help. One day Hyena went together with Hare to collect honey in the forest where men used to hang their beehives from the trees. Hare climbed the tree, extracted big lumps of combs full of honey from a beehive, and when he was full, said to the Hyena: 'Open your mouth and I will drop some honey into it'. 'Riley' the boy said and stared ahead. 'Is that your name?' Jamie asked with his deep voice. He didn't answer. He presumed Riley was the boy's name.

'Jamie' he replied. There was a glimpse from the boy, but his look soon returned to the road as he noticed him looking back. The boy, Riley, said something but Jamie was lost in thought. 'Sorry, I didn't catch that,' he said, thinking about his late brother.

'Can we stop here?' the boy requested. Jamie looked around and saw trees, and when the reason crossed his mind, he stopped the car.

The kid opened the door, jumped out of the car, and walked into the wall of trees worry-free. Jamie waited for a while but when he didn't come back, he was worried.

'Riley!' 'Please, stop hiding' 'he heard rustling, looked around and walked towards the sound. He saw Riley sitting on a fallen tree, holding a piece of fabric. When he saw Jamie looking, he hid it in the pocket of his coat. Riley stared at him with big eyes, almost scared. Jamie was so relieved.
