    • A method of repairing garments by use of an extra piece(1) of fabric to cover a tear(1)

      • Wash(1/2) in hot(1/2), soapy(1/2) water by friction(1/2) method
      • Rinse(1/2) in hot(1/2), water .Boil (1/2) to bleach
      • Final rinse(1/2) in cold(1/2) water containing laundry blue (1/2) to whiten
      • Squeeze out excess water
      • Dry(1/2) under the sun(1/2) on a line secured with pegs
      • Iron(1/2) while slightly damp(1/2) with a hot(1/2) iron
      • Air(1/2) to dry completely
      • Fold (1/2) and store(1/2)
      • Clean the equipment used(1/2) dry and store.(max 16x 1/2= 8marks)
    2. Thorough cleaning of the fridge
      • Collect (1/2) the necessary equipment and materials
      • Defrost (1/2) the fridge
      • Remove all food containers(1/2), empty the food and wash the containers
      • Remove the movable shelves(1/2)and clean them .
      • Wipe(1/2) the inner surface(1/2), rinse(1/2) thoroughly with a cloth wrung from warm water, dry(1/2) with a clean dry cloth
      • Using a cloth and warm(1/2) soapy(1/2) water, wipe the outer surface(1/2) a section at a time overlapping them. Rinse (1/2) thoroughly with a cloth wrung from warm water, dry with a clean dry cloth
      • Return(1/2) the shelves.
      • Pack the shelves with unspoilt food (1/2).
      • Switch on (1/2) the power. Keep the door closed (1/2)
      • Clean the equipment (1/2) used dry and store(max 14x 1/2= 7marks)
    3. Cleaning of a ceramic cup
      • Collect the necessary equipment (1/2) and materials
      • Wash (1/2) in warm(1/2) soapy(1/2) water with a sponge(1/2) /non-abrasive
      • Rinse(1/2) thoroughly(1/2) in clean(1/2) warm(1/2) water
      • Drip(1/2) dry(1/2) upside down(1/2) in an airly place
      • Buff(1/2) to shine with a lintless(1/2) /non fluffy/lintfree cloth
      • Store (1/2) appropriately
      • Clean the equipments (1/2) used,dry and store(max 10x 1/2= 5marks)

Section C

      • Used to entertain a large number of guests
      • Crockery and cutlery are placed at the beginning of the serving area
      • The meals can be easily taken while standing or sitting
      • Guests help themselves to the food dishes they are willing to take or someone serves them
      • food is placed in chaffing dishes/foodwarmers (any 3x2=6mks)
    2.  Points considered when buying a family house
      • cost; affordable
      • Legal documents; available and without dispute
      • Appropriate design as per personal tastes
      • Size that can fit the family size and composition
