  1.  
    1. 7 reasons why C.R.E as a subject is incorporated into curriculum in Kenyan schools Today.
      • To make us ware of our religion and culture
      • To improve our understanding of the Bible/know the character of some personality in the
      • Bible to emulate them (e.g Abraham/Moses/David)
      • For career development leading to employment.
      • To appreciate God’s creation
      • To acquire skills and knowledge so as to make social/moral/spiritual decision
      • To develop our faith in Jesus / to lead a holy life
      • To assist the student to achieve the National goals of Education (i.e. equality/unity)
      • To help one to analyze the mystery of life (e.g. why people die /what happens after death)  (7x1=7)
    2. GIVE the ways though which the study of C.R.E builds our relationship with GOD. 
      • CRE enables us to understand who God is.
      • We get to know what GOD expects of us and strive to do His will
      • We acquire Christians values and morals that guide us in our relationship with GOD and our neighbors
      • We are able to identify and emulate some biblical characters who pleased GOD
      • We are able to receive the holy spirit who gives us new life
      • We are able to seek GOD’S forgiveness and forsake our sinful past as we become new creatures in Christ.
      • We learn to become good role models for other people in the society to emulate.
      • We anticipate being with GOD forever when our lives are over on earth. (6x1=6)
    3. The translation of the Bible from the original languages to local languages in Kenya. 
      • It was originally written in Hebrew language
      • Greek scholars translated the New Testament into Greek language. It was called the Septuagint iii. In the 4th century it was translated into the Latin language in a version called the Vulgate
      • Martin Luther translated the Bible into German language
      • John Wycliffe translated the Bible into English language
      • The missionaries i.e. Dr. Ludwing Krapf translated part of the Bible into Kiswahili and Taita languages
      • Later it was translated by the Kenya Bible society into several local languages such as Luhya, Kikuyu, Luo, kamba  (7x1=7)

    1. Describe how the Sinai covenant was sealed.  
      • The Sinai covenant was sealed (Exodus 24:4-8) through:-  Moses built an altar of 12pillars to represent the 12 tribes of Israel
      • He then sent young men to offer/sacrifice oxen to the Lords as burnt offering
      • He took half of the blood and poured in a basin
      • Half of the blood was sprinkled in the altar
      • He then took the book of the covenant and read it to the Israelites
      • The people promised to obey God
      • He took the remaining blood and sprinkled it upon the people
      • The blood was the covenant that the Lord made with the people
      • God promised to bless them, if they obey Him
      • A new relationship was established between God and the Israelites (7x1=7)
    2. State six conditions given by God to the Israelites during the renewal of the Sinai  covenant.
      • To obey what God commanded them.
      • Not to make nay treaty with people of the land where they were going.
      • To destroy their altars/smash their sacred stones/cut down their Asherah.
      • Not to worship any idol/other god.
      • To keep the feast of unleavened bread
      • To rest on the seventh day.
      • Not to intermarry with foreigners
      • Not to make idols
      • To offer to God the first fruits of their crops
      • Dedicate all their first born male children and first born male of their domestic animals to God. (6x1=6)
    3. Why do Christians find it difficult to follow the laws of God?          
      • Lack of faith.
      • Worldly pleasures.

      • He did not only make Jerusalem his political capital but also the holy city/religious/spiritual capital in which all Israelites came for religious occasions.
      • He composed the psalms used in worship.
      • He showed respect to the prophets of Yahweh E.g Nathan.
      • When David made mistakes he repented and asked for Yahweh’s forgiveness.
      • David humbled himself before Yahweh and completely submitted to his will.
      • He advised others to obey God.
      • He constantly prayed to God and sought his guidance.
      • He conquered the enemies of Israel so that they could live in peace (7x1=7)
    2. Factors that lead to David’s successor’s failure in their leadership.

      • He condemned the false belief about the temple not being destroyed because it was God’s dwelling place.
      • He condemned the hypocrisy/presence of people who committed different sins and came to the temple to worship Yahweh.
      • He talked about the defiled of the temple by placing idols in it.
      • He condemned the worship of other gods/idolatry which was a rebellion to the Sinai         covenant.
      • He condemned the practice of human sacrifice which was against the commandments of   God.
      • He condemned oppression of the foreigners/widows/orphans which against the covenant way of   life.

      • The priest Ezra read the law to the people.

      • There was a national day of confession / fasting as they wore sack clothes

      • They scaled the covenant by signing an agreement under the leadership of

      • Women/children now own property
      • Wealth is no longer determined by the number of wives and children
      • Introduction of money economy has reduced the value attached to land
      • The roles of elders in sharing property has been eroded
      • Land is individually owned through issuance of title deeds
      • Property can be owned outside ones ancestral home
      • People write wills to share/decide who should inherit property
      • Land can now be sold/auctioned (commercialized)

    3. Why is the church opposed to wife inheritance?
      • Can lead to abandonment of ones children wife
      • Can cause jealously/breakage of family
      • May lead to destruction of property/snatching/grabbing/poverty
      • It is dehumanizing/oppressive to the woman/widow
      • Can lead to disease e.g HIV/AIDS
      • Cause embarrassment to the concerned members/not promoting respect
      • It is against the Christian teaching of monogamy
      • Can lead to street children/increase in crime
      • Can lead to mistreatment of the partial orphans//widow
      • It can create psychological/emotional problems /stress
