      • Mary entered Zechariah’s home
      • She greeted Elizabeth
      • When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greetings, the baby in her womb leaped with joy.
      • Elizabeth was filled with the holy spirit
      • Elizabeth exclaimed with a loud cry and she blessed Mary and the child in her womb.
      • Elizabeth wondered why Mary the mother of her Lord had visited her.
      • Elizabeth informed Mary that the child in her womb had leapt with joy after her greetings
      • Mary responded by praising God
      • Mary stayed with Elizabeth for three months

      • Christians should be prayerful
      • They should serve God faithfully

      • Jesus was requested by Jairus who was a leader of a synagogue to go and heal his only daughter who was very sick.
      • Jesus accepted Jairus humble request
      • But a word came that the daughter was dead and therefore no need to bother Jesus
      • Jesus asked Jairus to have faith and told the mourners not to wail because the girl was just asleep.
      • Jesus together with Peter, John and Jesus and the parents of the dead girl, entered the house.
      • Jesus held the girl’s hand and commanded her to rise up to which she responded.
      • Jesus requested that she be given something to eat.
      • The miracle was to remain a secret.

      • Paul describes the believers as the body of Christ

      • Believers form parts of the body
      • The body has different organs the same way the church has different members
      • All members need to work together for the well-being of the church
      • Every part of the body is needed to make the whole body/one part cannot be without the other.
      • Different members are given different spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit to carry out God’s work.
      • There should be no division in the church since all believers are members of the Christ
      • Believers are united through baptism in the Holy Spirit

      • There was disorder/confusion in worship as people with different gifts tried to outdo one another
      • There was competition in speaking in tongues
