- Messiah has the spirit of God
- He is anointed by God
- He was sent to preach the good news to the poor
- He was sent to proclaim the year of the Lord
- He was sent to declare Gods judgment and vengeance
- He was sent to heal the broken heart
- Sent to bring liberty to the captives.
First five points 5x1=5mks
- Outline the message of the Angel Gabriel to Mary during the annunciation of Jesus birth. (Luke 1:28-37)
- She was highly favored among women/the Lord is with her
- The Angel told her not to be afraid
- That she had found favour with God
- She will conceive in her womb and bear a son.
- That her son shall be named Jesus
- That her will be great
- He will be called the son of the most high
- He will be given the throne of his father David
- He will reign over the house of Jacob forever
- His kingdom will be everlasting
- The Holy Spirit would come upon her
- The child to be born would be holy
- That Elizabeth her cousin had also conceived in her old age
- With God, nothing will be impossible.

- Some because of false prophecies around them.

- Describe the Raising of the widows son at Nain (Luke 7:11-17)
- Jesus went to the city of Nain accompanied by his disciples and a large crowd
- At the gate of the city, he met people carrying a dead man
- The dead man was the only son of the widow
- The widow was accompanied by a large crowd wailing
- Jesus felt pity for the widow and told her not to weep
- Jesus touched the bier (coffin) in which the body lay
- Jesus told the dead man to arise
- The dead man sat up and began to speak
- Jesus gave the man to his mother
- The people were filled with fear
- The people glorified the lord
- Jesus fame spread in Judea and in the surrounding region.

- Jesus has power over death

- They were signs of the presence of the kingdom of God in the person of Jesus
- Miracles demonstrated God's love to human beings
- Miracles took away human suffering and pain
- Made people to believe in the healing power of Jesus
- They shows that physical healing represents spiritual healing
- Jesus used miracles to glorify God
- Miracles showed that the work of mercy can go on the Sabbath
- Miracles made Jesus be recognized as the son of God
- They demonstrated the divinity of Jesus
- They showed that Jesus has power over nature
- They complimented his teachings.

- Describe the Raising of the widows son at Nain (Luke 7:11-17)

- Describe the incident when Jesus was asked the question of paying tax. (Luke 20:19-26)
- The scribes and the chief priests tried to lay hands on Jesus
- But they feared the people, for they perceived that he had told the parable of the tenant against them
- They watched him and send spies who pretended to be sincere
- They wanted to take hold on what he says so that they can deliver him to the authority
- They asked Jesus by saying teacher we know that you speak and teach rightly without impartiality
- They asked Jesus if it was lawful to pay tax to Caesar or not
- Jesus perceived their craftiness
- He asked them to show him a coin and tell whose likeness and inscription it had
- They said it had Caesar
- Jesus told them therefore to render the things that are Caesar and to God things that are God's
- They were not able in the presence of the people to catch him by what he said
- They marveled at his answer.

- Outline the event that took place from the time Jesus was arrested up to the time he was Sentenced to death.
(Luke 22:63-23:1-24)- Jesus was taken to the house of the high priest.
- Peter denied Jesus three times.
- Jesus was mocked/beaten/blind folded.
- Jesus was taken to the Sanhedrin
- They made religious accusations against him/claims to be Christ the messiah son of God, Jesus said that if he tells them, they will not believe.
- Jesus was taken to Pilate where they made political accusations against him/claims to the king of the Jews, Jesus answered by saying they say so.
- He was sent to Herod who questioned and ridiculed him.
- Jesus was taken back to Pilate and Pilate said that he had not found Jesus guilty and therefore wanted to release him
- They insisted they wanted Jesus crucified
- Pilate had Jesus flogged and beaten.
- The crowd shouted that Jesus should be crucified and release Barabbas
- Pilate surrendered Jesus to be crucified.

- Give Six reasons why Christians should pay tax
- Because it is a requirement by the state and authority
- To obey the laws of the state
- To show submission and obedience to the authority
- Tax are dues that Christians like any other citizen pay
- They pay tax to help the government sustain their operations
- The government use paid taxes to provide essential services to the citizens
- They government use tax to pay various bills consumed by the citizens viii. They pay tax because it is a legal requirement for all citizens.

- Explain Paul's teaching on how the gifts of the holy spirit should be used.
- The gifts of the Holy Spirit should be used for the common good of all.
- They should be used to edify, strengthen, encourage and comfort members.
- They should be used to bring unity and not to discriminate or divide members.
- There is need to respect and appreciate all the gifts.
- The gifs of the Holy Spirit should be used tin love.
- The gifts of speaking in tongues should be minimized in public worship.
- There is need to have interpretation of tongues for them to be meaningful/helpful.
- The gifts should be used in an orderly manner and not to bring confusion in the church
- Prophecies should be carefully weighed/evaluated
- Not more than two should speak in tongues at the same time
- Those who speak in tongues should do so one after the other

- Describe the unity of believers as expressed in the image of the bride
Rev 21:1-12, 2nd Corinthians 11:2- Christians are the bride, Jesus is the bride groom
- Christians should be faithful to Christ just as the bride is faithful to the bride groom
- Christ loves the church just like the bridegroom loves the bride
- Christians should remain pure, holy and faithful in Jesus Christ just like the bride keeps her purity for the bridegroom
- Committed Christians will be taken to a new home- heaven, just like the bride is taken to a new home by the bridegroom
- The union between Christ and the church is everlasting, just like the union between the bride and the bridegroom
- Christians must remain in a state of expectancy as the bride expects the arrival of the groom

- Explain how the gifts of the Holy Spirit are misused today
- People demand favors and payment for performing miracles
- People claim to be under the influence of the Holy Spirit when they are not
- There is too much emphasis on speaking in tongues at the expense of other gifts
- Those who have the gifts of the Holy Spirit are proud, boastful and look down upon others
- People misinterpret the Bible hence confusing others while claiming to be under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
- Individuals cause division in the church claiming that the Holy Spirit has inspired them to start new churches or ministries
- Sometimes gifts of the Holy Spirit are expressed in a disorderly manner in the church
- People use the gifts for self-glorification
- People speak in tongues without an interpreter, hence creating misunderstanding
- People use the gifts to instill fear and intimidate others

- Each man should have his own wife likewise woman
- It is good for one to remain unmarried
- Those who cannot control themselves should marry
- Marriage is not a sin
- Marriage is between a man and a woman
- Marriage couples should be faithful to each other
- Couples should give each other the conjugal rights
- Marriage is permanent
- Those who divorce should not remarry
- Christians should not marry non-believers.

- The wealth should share/help those who do not have.
- There are guide lines on how to acquire wealth/through fair means.

- Explain seven causes of bribery and corruption in Kenya today
- Unemployment- a person seeking employment may give a bribe to be offered a job.
- Poverty- a person may give/ receive bribes to obtain favour.
- Greed for wealth- the desire to get rich quickly may make some people to ask for bribes in order to discharge their duties.
- Greed for power- some people give bribes to get promotions/ leadership positions.
- Lack of morals- poor upbringing /lack of a firm foundation in moral values makes some people to easily accept/ give a bribe.
- Ignorance- some people may not know their right to be given certain services hence give bribes unknowingly.
- Fear- people who have committed crime may bribe the authority to escape punishment.
- To overcome shame- a person may give a bribe to guard his/her reputation.
- Justice system- the process of getting justice is slow/long hence people give bribes for a short cut/ hasten the process.
