      1. She entered Zecharia’s home
      2. She greeted Elizabeth
      3. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby in her womb leaped
      4. Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit
      5. Elizabeth exclaimed with a loud dry
      6. She blessed Mary and the child in her womb
      7. Elizabeth wondered why Mary, the mother of her Lord, had visited her
      8. Elizabeth informed Mary that the child in her womb had leaped for joy in her greetings.
      9. Mary responded by praising God
      10. Mary stayed with Elizabeth for three months.

    1. Describe the incident when Jesus was rejected at Nazareth (Luke 4:16-30).(7mks)
      1. Jesus came to Nazareth where he was brought up
      2. He went to the synagogue as he usually did on the Sabbath day
      3. He was given book of prophet Isaiah when he stood up to read.
      4. He opened the book, found the place that was written about him and read it to the people.
      5. After reading he closed book and gave it to the attendant and sat down
      6. Everybody in the synagogue looked at him
      7. He told them that the scripture he has read was fulfilled in their hearing
      8. All people were happy with what he had spoken
      9. People wondered a loud saying “is this not Joseph’s son
      10. Jesus told them that they would ask him to do in his own country things he had done in Capernaum/he told them that a prophet is not accepted in his own country things.
      11. He told them there were many widows in Israel during the time of Elijah but God sent the prophet to a widow in Zarephath / God only healed Naaman the Syrian of leprosy during the time of Prophet Elisha.
      12. They were filled with anger/wanted to throw him head long the cliff.
      13. Jesus passed through their midst and went away.
    2. Give four reasons why Jesus faced opposition from the Pharisees in Galilee (Luke 5: 12-6: 11) (8mks)
      1. Jesus touched a man with leprosy which was against the Jewish law.
      2. He forgive sins which the Pharisees knew only God could do / healed the paralyzed man
      3. He mixed / ate with the tax collectors who were known to be sinners
      4. Jesus made it clear to them that he had not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance
      5. His disciples did not fast, like those of the John the Baptist which annoyed the Pharisees
      6. He challenged them to move from the old traditional orders to the new ones which he had brought.
      7. The disciples of Jesus plucked and ate grains on the Sabbath day which was unlawful/ he healed a man with a withered had on a Sabbath.
    3. Mention five ways Christian leaders should respond to those who oppose them in their work (5mks)
      Find out the causes/ reasons for the opposition.
      1. The church leaders should pray for/ with them.
      2. Explain to them the Gospel truth in a humble manner/ guide and counsel them.
      3. Seek reconciliation through a third party/ another person.
      4. Involve them in decision making/ church activities.
      5. Visit them in their homes/ fellowship with them/ preaching to them.
      6. Assist them when in problems/ financially and materially. 5 x 1= 5mks

    1. Describe the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem (Luke 19:28-40). (6mks)
      1. When Jesus came to Mt. Olives, he sent two of his disciples/he gave instructions about a colt which they were to bring to Him.
      2. The disciples found the colt/untied it
      3. The owner of the colt sought to know where it was being taken
      4. The disciples told them that the Lord needed it
      5. The disciples brought the colt to Jesus/put their garments on its back /set Jesus on it.
      6. As Jesus went along on the colt, people spread their garments on the road where he passed.
      7. The whole crowd of disciples praised / glorified God joyfully in loud voices for all the mighty works they had seen
      8. Jesus answered them that if the disciples kept quiet, the stones would cry out.

      1. Jesus was taken to the house of the high priest
      2. Peter denied Jesus three times
      3. Jesus was mocked / beaten / blindfoled
      4. Jesus was taken to the Sanhendrin / they made religious accusations against him
      5. Jesus was taken to Pilate / they made political accusations against him
      6. He was sent to Herod who questioned Jesus / ridiculed/dressed him in a royal robe
      7. Pilate said that he had not found Jesus guilty.
      8. Pilate chose to have Jesus flogged / chastised
      9. The crowd shouted that Jesus should be crucified / demanded release of Barabas
      10. Pilate surrendered Jesus to be crucified.

      5. They all need to work together for the well being of the church.
      6. Every part of body is needed to make it whole all parts are interdependence/ one part cannot be without the other.
      7. The different church members are given different spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit to carry out God’s work.
      8. Believers are united through baptism in the Holy Spirit.

      1. Cheating that one has a certain gift of the holy spirit /pretense.
      2. Commercialization of the gifts/people are asked to pay money before being prayed for /healed.
      3. False interpretation of the bible/prophesy/predicting the future.
      4. Unscrupulous Christians may impart demoniac powers on innocent faithful.
      5. Some Christians who possess the gifts of the Holy Spirit develop pride/superiority complex.
      6. Wrong use of the gifts of the Holy spirit where faithful get into eccsy/trance which may lead t injuries.
      7. Distinguishing oneself as a person with a special call/preacher with an intention of exploiting others

      5. Human beings are able to obtain their basic needs / earn their living through manual work
      6. It is a way of serving others / community
      7. It enables human beings to develop their talents / abilities.
