  1.  
    1. In reference to the suffering servant, how did Jesus suffer humiliation (8mks)
      • He bore sins of human beings
      • He delivered humanity by dying on the cross
      • He submissively bore suffering and disgrace
      • He was despised and rejected
      • He was pierced and wounded on the side
      • He was crucified with thieves
      • His hands and feet were nailed on cross
      • He was stripped naked and soldiers shared His clothes by casting lots
    2. How did John the Baptist fulfil his father’s prophecy in his work? (6mks)
      • John spent his days in the wilderness devoting his time to the Lord and his behaviour was like that of Prophet Elijah
      • John went along Judea preaching to people about the importance of repenting their sins. His father prophecy says that he would go before the
        Lord and prepare the way for Him
      • He went along baptising those who repented preparing them for the coming of the Messiah
      • John preached about change of behaviour in one’s life as a preparation for the coming of the Messiah
      • John preached God’s mercy on humankind
      • John expected people to lead lives of unity and show love to another.

    1. Narrate the healing of a man with an evil spirit from Luke 4:31-37(8mks)
      • Jesus was teaching in the synagogue on a Sabbath
      • People were astonished because He spoke with authority
      • A man was possessed by an unclean demon/spirit in the synagogue
      • When he saw Jesus, the evil spirit shouted, “Ah! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy one of God”
      • Jesus rebuked the demon saying, “Be silent and come out of him.”
      • The Demon threw the man down and came out without doing any harm. The man was made whole.
      • The people were amazed at His word and power
      • Reports about Jesus went out into every surrounding region

      • Christians should strive to be part of Gods Kingdom
      • Christians learn that Jesus came to save human beings from slavery of sin

    1. Describe the parable of the wicked tenants in the vineyard (Luke 20:9-18) (8mks)
      • When Jesus was preaching in the temple the Jewish religious leaders questioned His authority
      • Jesus told them that the Parable of the wicked tenants to help interpret His role and that of His opponents
      • A man planted a vineyard and gave it out to tenants
      • He then went away for a long time
      • During the harvest he sent three of his servants to ask for His portion of the harvest
      • The tenants beat up all the servants
      • The owner of the vineyard sent his own son
      • The son was also beaten up and killed
      • Jesus said that the owner would destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to the others
      • Jesus concluded the parable that “The very stone the builders rejected has now become the corner stone”

      • Christians should be watchful by praying to God so that He may give the courage and strength to stand firm in their faith

      • Some members of the church failing to return /refund what is/has been borrowed

      • Love makes people do things not harmful to others therefore promoting justice.
      • Honesty/reliability/faithfulness makes one do things and promotes trust from others and they become reliable
      • Justice/fairness; when things are done fairly there is no or little resentment aroused.
      • Respect; where one treats others with honour and appreciation so making them respect in return.
      • Humility; Humble people make others humble.
      • Perseverance/Persistence; Enable people to work together in harmony.
      • Chastity; Physical, spiritual and mental purity enables one to do things that are right, goodwill.
    3. How is the Church responding to challenges posed by HIV/AIDs? (6mks)
      • Ministering to people living with HIV/AIDS and practising Christian love.
      • Advocating for the protection of the human rights of People Living with HIV/AIDs
      • Facilitating the infected and the affected with job opportunities or income generating projects
      • Providing material support in terms of food ,clothing and shelter
      • Helping those at risk but not yet infected to see the need to avoid infection
      • Providing pastoral counselling to those with full blown AIDs in order to leave with dignity
      • Working with parents to educate children and youth on the need of responsible sexually behaviour.

      • In both sexuality has the purpose of procreation /continuity of life
      • In both it is viewed as sacred valued because of its power to create life

      • Both restrict sexuality to a mature stage in life /and place it in marriage
      • Both discourage irresponsible sexuality/condemn sex abuse
      • In both the youth are prepared/taught on sexual matters
