- During the harvest, he sent three of his servants to ask for his portion of the harvest
- The tenant best up all the servants
- The owner of the vineyard sent his own son
- The son was also beaten up and killed
- Jesus said that the owner would destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to others
- Jesus concluded the parable that the very stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone
