QUESTION 1
- Open a Spreadsheet Workbook and Save it as Mzalendo Traders. (10 Mks)
- Copy all the data above to sheet 2 and sheet 3 of your workbook (2 Mks)
- Rename sheet 1 to “original“; sheet 2 to “filters“ and sheet 3 to “subtotals“ (3 Mks)
- Find the profit or loss given that the profit is selling price less the buying price.
- Find the V.A.T given that it is 15% of the profit. (3 Marks)
- Using formulas on “original”, calculate in the appropriate cells, the amounts spent on buying all the items and the money obtained from the sales (2 Mks)
- Include a column named comment and use the IF function to fill it with either the word “Profit”, “Flat” or “Loss” depending on whether the item fetched a profit, was sold at the same rate (as buying) or a loss was incurred. (5 mks)
- On Original sheet, insert a header (Your name and index Number) and footer ( Page number) (4 Marks)
- On the “Filters” sheet, filter the data so that only those items of category A that fetched profits are displayed (3 Mks)
- In original, format the buying price, selling price, VAT and the profit into currency KSH. (4 Marks)
- In original sheet, insert a column chart to compare between buying price, and the selling price and give it the title “MZALENDO” at the top. (8 Marks)
- Copy the chart into sheet 4 and rename the sheet as Chart. (3 Marks)
- Print the Original sheet, Filter sheet and the column chart. (3 Marks)

- In your table under the field of fee balance sort your data in ascending order and save as sortable. (4mks)
- Create a query from your table and carry out the following:
- Set a criteria to show students with a fee balance less than 8,500/= (6mks)
- Set a criteria to show students names starting with letter S. (6mks)
- Create a form called records that shows all fields from the above table. (6mks)
- Create a tabular report from the student’s table (8mks)
- Print the students table, fee balance less than 8500 query, and student’s table report. (4 Marks)
