    • Condition inside or outside the animal that makes it be prone to disease attack. 
  3. State five effects of keds on sheep. (2 ½ mks)  
    • Irritation
    • Wounds that may lead to sec. infection
    • Anaemia
    • Lowers quality of hides & skins
    • Retarded growth
    • Lowers quality of wool
  4. Distinguish between a feed and a feedstuff. (2mks)  
    • Feed is a mixture of feedstuff while feedstuff is a food material containing one or more nutrients
  5. What is dry cow therapy ( 2mks)  
    • The infusion of an antibiotic along the feat canal mwhen the cow has dried off to control mastitis attack.
  6. Distinguish maintenance and production ration. ( 2mks)  
    • Maintenance ration is the daily feed allowance per animal enough to sustain body processes.
    • Production ration is the daily feed allowance given to an animal over and above the maintenance ration for purpose of production.
  7. What is the function of oesophageal groove. (1mk)
