  1. State six similarities between the first and second account of creation.(6mks)
    • In both God is acknowledged acknowledged as the sole creator.
    • God provides for the needs of human beings in the two accounts.
    • Creation includes both living and non living things in both.
    • Mankind is created into full human sexuality.
    • Human beings share in the life of God in both
    • Human beings are represented as special creatures in both.
    • In both human beings were given responsibilities and privileges.
    • In both heaven and earth were created first.
    • In both God existed before creation.
  2. How did God prepare Moses for the future leadership in Israel?(6mks)
    • His life was saved when Pharaoh's daughter rescued him from river Nile.
    • He received maternal love and care from his mother who nursed him.
    • His mother told him of his identity as a Jew.
    • He acquired leadership skills in Pharaoh's palace.
    • He received Egyptian education which equipped him in writing the Decalogue.
    • Life in the wilderness hardened him to face future hardships.
    • Being a shepherd equipped him with leadership virtues such as tolerance.
    • Through staying with Pharaoh he knew his stiff neckedness.
    • He learned family responsibility by marrying Zipporah.
  3. Outline six factors that led to the division of the kingdom of Israel after the death of King Solomon?(6mks)
    • Solomon had married many foreign wives who brought idols with them.
    • Solomon allowed his foreign wives to build high places of worship for idol gods.
    • Solomon worshipped idol gods.
    • Solomon overtaxed his subjects and oppressed them.
    • Solomon spent years and a lot of resources building his own palace and temple that made him introduce forced labour in Israel.
    • Dissatisfaction among the Israelites made them to support Jeroboam.
    • Rehoboam, Solomon's son and successor rejected the advice from the old men and accepted the advice from young men to rule harshly.
    • The readiness of Jeroboam to lead the rebellious tribes.

  11. Relate the raising of Jairus daughter.(Luke 8:40-56).(8mks).
    • Jairus who was a ruler in the Synagogue came and fell at the feet of Jesus.
    • He begged Jesus to accompany him to his house and heal his 12 years old daughter who was ill
    • Before Jesus reached Jairus' daughter,word came that the daughter was already dead and that he should not trouble Jesus
    • Jesus told Jairus to have faith in Him and all would well
    • On arrival to Jairus home, Jesus told the mourners not to wail as the girl was only asleep
    • Jesus together with Peter, John and James plus parents of the girl entered into the house
    • Jesus held the girl's hand telling her to arise.
    • Her spirit returned to her
    • Jesus then ordered her parents to give her something to eat.
    • The parents were amazed
    • Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone what had happened.

    • They were not to carry any purse
    • They were not to carry shoes
    • They were not to greet people on their way
    • They were to wish peace to the occupants of the houses they visited
    • They were to stay in the same house they visit where they should eat and drink whatever they were offered
    • They were to move from house to house
    • In places where they were not welcomed they were to shake off dust from their feet
    • They were to heal sick

  14. Narrate the parable of the great feast according to Luke 14:15-24.(8mks)
    • Jesus was in the house of a leading Pharisee
    • One man sitting at the table with Jesus said that happy are those who will sit down at the feast in the Kingdom of God
    • Jesus told the parable of a man who invited friends to a feast
    • When it was ready,he sent his servants to inform them that the feast was ready and that they could come
    • All the invited guests sent apologies and did not come
    • The owner of the feast was furious because of this let down
    • He told his servants to go to the streets and valleys of the town and bring the poor to come to the feast
    • The servant did as commanded but the hall was not full
    • He sent them to the country roads and lanes to invite more people to the feast
    • The master said that none of those invited earlier would be welcomed to the feast
    • God invites all to his Kingdom i.e.therich,poor and the blind
  15. Identify six methods used by Jesus to spread the gospel.(6mks)
    • Through the use of sermons such as the sermon on the plain
    • Through reading the word of God
    • Through performing miracles
